The head from my CA is at the machine shop. They want to use a grooved bronze insert rather than the cast guides that came with the valve kit I supplied. They said, they can use umbrella seals with the insert, if not, the tractor will smoke "some". I thought seals were never to be used with this design head. I'm ok with bronze inserts, but not sure about the seals, and a new engine that smokes "some" is unacceptable to me. They claim it's the better way to go over pressing in new cast guides, either with or without using umbrella seals. Thoughts...
