Got my new tires for the CA restoration.  The rims need a touch up.  These are Galaxy R1 tires 12.4x24.  The tire shop confused me some.  One guy said I had a pinhole in the rim from the sandblasting.  Then, another guy said they used tubes, so the hole isn't an issue.  The tires have stamped on them "tubeless".  If I had a pin hole, how quickly would they leak down?  Both tires have held pressure for 24 hours now.  I guess since I never SAW them mounted, I don't know if they actually have tubes.  I got charged for tubes though!  Can I tell from the valve stem?  Anyway, I do like the tires!

Thanks Andrew.  Chris, the CA is in pieces right now.  I had it sandblasted in pieces and I plan to finish up the paint soon.  I bought good paint this time.  I got sick and it slowed me down some.  I got interested in Lionel trains too, so I've been diverted--albeit temporarily, from tractors.  Trains are easier on the back too!  I'll post up pics of the CA once I get her ready.  I was selling her for $1900, now I've put an additional $1400 into her.  She will have to stay now!Smile

I also have a CA Allis and have an interest in Lionel trains. What size do you have? Just purchase a O Gauge. I have 12.4-24 on my CA and I think they look great.

Rog, Bob,
I'm sticking with post-war O gauge.  I'm learning about the trains--much to learn!!!  Bob, if you want to sell your trains I might be interested.   I sent you a pm.
Thanks,
Steve

Got the rest of the painting done today.  I used Bed Liner on the floor.  I think the 12.4 tires makes the stance more level now.  I will get it reassembled tomorrow.
