Melatonin have any of y’all tried it. Jenn got me some and I sleep so sound. It seems to tear up my stomachs. I only take one once in a while. I like the way it makes me sleep but I’m afraid I’ll become reliant on it. Some say it doesn’t work for them.
Seems harder to sleep these days than it used to.

We have a jar, it works for me, but I find if I use it to late on a work night it makes me drowsy in the morning. If I take it like an hour before I go to bed t works the best.

Seems a hour or two before bedtime works for many - thing is to get in a habbit of same time of going to bed and getting up - regular hour thing is one key .
Sons G/F was told to try it by doc - but also to try regular times of taking it and time to relax before sleep .

I always get up between 4:00 and 4:30 am. I’ve always went to bed between 8:00 and 9:00 pm. Never had sleep problems in my life until the past couple years. I go to sleep but get up a couple hrs later and can’t get back to sleep.

I take it,  but I always wonder is it helping or is it just me thinking it does,  and if it does it is only good for 3-4 hours tops.  Even doubling the dose don`t help which is why I wonder if it helps at all. If I want to really go to sleep I take an allergy pill,  they put me out for about 4 hours.   Beyond 4 hours,  I toss and turn till I finally get up and that is usually around 5:00.

I take it occasionally because some days I have to get up earlier for work, so need a little persuasion at night to sleep earlier. Works good but yes need to take about an hour before bed.

Don't worry about it Thad.  I go to bed usually around 9 and get up about 4.  Some nights I'm the same way, wake up at 1 or 2 and be up forever that day.  I've found it's because I'm NOT TIRED ENOUGH!  That's the key to a good nights sleep, being tired.
I find during the winter is the worst time for me cause all I do is sit around waiting for spring so I'm up a lot of nights.
During the spring/summer/fall, I can be sitting at the table drinking my 3rd POT of coffee and just drop off.
It's cause as we get older, we tend to get lazier....

I take it sometimes,  but not all the time.
1 hour before going to sleep works some time,
but Wednesday I never did fall sleep and I did take it.

Started having issue with falling asleep about 3 to 4 years ago.
The jobs I run, seem to be getting harder to manage.
Poor sub contractors and schedules are very getting shorter.

Thinking about  what needs to be done the next day and eating to late makes it harder to sleep.

Nyquil winds me up! No kidding, it sucks!  The only medication I can take for a cold is high blood pressure formulations even though I don't have high blood pressure.  Those versions don't seem to wind me up, all the other ones do.

The docs got me started on it when I had leukemia in the hospital. I still take it sometimes. 5 mg is too much for me. I break a 5 mg in half or take a 3 mg pill. It helps me to sleep better. It is a natural substance your body produces I am told.
