Trying to learn about Prigel family tractors. The farm is located just north of Baltimore, MD My Grandfather, Sylvestor Prigel traded a U in the early 50's for a WD.  Fairly certain the U transaction was with the O. E. Long dealership in Stevenson, MD.  Hoping that Bill in Belair is a member of that family. IN 57 or 58, a WD NF that had rolled on and killed Sylvestor and JD H were traded for a 17. That trade most likely was with the Nafzinger dealership in Cecilton, MD.  In the 60's I remember a story that the U was still in use on a vegetable farm in Harford County. The farm is still family owned, but there aren't any surviving records for serial #'s.

The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

Thanks to Bob Lemmert (BobWM) for bringing this to my attention.
With my father we were HONORED to be the dealer for Mr. Sylvester and Bob Prigel.  I personally distressed to know that Mr. Prigel died on one of our tractors.
I left the Farm Equipment Business in 1962 when we closed our dealership and completed 35 very successful years in Branch Banking.
I often wonder what happened to Bob and his charming wife.  They were about my age.
Any information would be much appreciated.
Good Luck!
Bill Long

I am the son of BRKFLDJ who started the post.  We've got a WD-45 here in use still in Howard County Maryland.   That two bottom plow still saw some use last year as I understand it on a neighbors D-12, which has since been sold off to WV.  If I'm not mistaken the plow is going out to WV on the next trip as well.  If any one can help track down the prigel's U or other tractors I'd appreciate it.
