Went and looked at a D17 backhoe today.
I decided to pass. The first thing was it didn't have a shuttle clutch or a power director (it was weird not seeing a PD lever on a D17) and there is a problem with the dipper (middle) cylinder on the hoe and the power steering isn't working. It's a series II D17, T1000 loader and Mark IV hoe with two buckets. It has the usual dents, welds and various minor things for it's age but overall it appears to be in decent shape with no leaks and it runs great. I just don't need another project right now. He's asking $3750. If anyone is interested call Mark O'Hara @ 847-946-8125 before 8:00. Mark is a great guy.
