Having trouble getting my muffler straight . Guess a little welding would fix it but I'm not sure that's a good idea . Bet a new manifold would work but I'm kinda cheap . Any thoughts ? Should say that it's a gas series 1 . Thanks

quit hitting low garage doors...... ![]() yeah, I've done it TWICE..... ![]() I used an 'interesting' combnation of muffler clamps, steel barstock and muffler tubing to 'rearrange' the muffler on my D-14#1. When the 'correctcops' complain THEY can use their $$$ to fix it right ![]() Jay |

Slip a soup can or soda can in next to the pipe to shim it, then hose clamp the shim to the pipe

The muffler is secured to the manifold with 2 bolts - not 1. Most likely the head got broken off of one and the stud is still there. Drill it out and re tap it and she will be nice and straight.

Thanks Myron . Both 1/2" bolts are there and from the side my muffler is ok . From the seat it's leaning to the right . I'm still messing with it . Probably try a piece of tin next . Thanks again
