Very nice! A friend of mine (Allen Beall) had a 34 Threshermans Special like that. 30 years ago I drove it at the Indiana State Fair in the Farmers Day Parade. It flat wore me out!!And I was only 33. It has always amazed me how much tougher those men were in those days when that iron was new. Thanks for the memories! Nice one!

Jay, after working at walking behind the horses and holding the plow handles from sunup to sum down, riding that tractor was probably like almost resting... other than hitting rocks with the front wheels and going over them with the spike ends of steel...

Never sold one or saw one till I visited this site. What a beauty. Take good care Dave. By the way, they were talking about the "coming home" GOTO a few posts ago. I still remember meeting you and Armand there. Have a picture somewhere. Regards to all. Good Luck! Bill Long

Great job Dave ! You need to train your house painting sister to paint tractors so you can retire someday.

Beautiful! I need to freshen up mine. Here was mine about 4 years ago. I cranked it and got it started last night as a matter of fact! Luckily at 37 years of age I can still crank over 563 ci without too much trouble. Mine has the rim extensions which make it really wide. The nickname mine has is "Barky the Butt Shaker" ![]() Edited by Adam in VA - 10 Jul 2018 at 3:36pm |

I was at a show many years ago where they had an Allis E 30-60 Threshermans Special. Is that the same tractor as yours but with the correct horse power in the model name? Or was it a displacement again over the 25-40?

James that is a old picture .LOL . The wheels on Longfender are rolled steel with heavy cast center witch is correct for up to 1927 ,after that the pressed steel wheel on 20 -35 short fender and 25-40 was used and often added a road band ( also pressed steel )witch made them 18 wide .
