John, are you talking about the Wright brand saw with the recplical blade? Did they make them for AC?

That was back when Poulan made a good saw. Todays Poulan isn't worth a dime, gave my last new Poulan which had about a hour use on it to my SIL and bought a Husky.

From pictures I've seen the AC reciprecating blade saw sure looks like a Wright. That all Dad had and it was nasty to run. My arms would shake so bad while cutting and for a hour afterwards. I would hope every one of them has been scrapped by now.
After I left home and bought a CHAIN saw I couldn't believe I didn't refuse to use that Wright. |

Hi. What model is this unit?
What would you use it for? Cutting tree limbs? (orchard pruning) Cutting hanging meat? ???? I tried to cut a piece of plywood and it just ripped a rough, irregular cut of about 5/8" in width. It feels like it weighs about a tonne. ![]() Do not try to trim your fingernails, this picture is to show how big and aggressive the teeth are. (LOL) ![]() ![]() What do you think this saw is worth? Ross.

Calvin. I think that $50.00 (U.S.) would be a very good and reasonable down payment. Ross.

The AC blade saw was built by polan based on the wright model 100 saw.
My dad bought a wright back in the late 1950's He used it to fall trees and cut them to a size they could be lifted on a buzz saw table. The buzz saw was front mounted on a AC wc and could fold up a near the grill for transport. Bet that wright and buzz rig cut several thousands of cords into fire wood. I still have dads old Wright. hasn't ran in years because I need parts I have not been able to find. Al

Nice Blade Saw Ross, Only 2nd one I've seen with AC badge! Another Poulan saw collector knows of 4 them, counting ours. I paid a bunch for ours! :) We have original receipt's when he purchased it, and books and such.
John since you have all the others! I would sell ours to you. I'll pm you a price. |

Well our New 85 blade saw has a New Home! It's going to Mr. Mrotek in VA. And it will be right at Home with all his others! I will have a unhappy Poulan collector to deal with, as he wanted it to! But I feel its in the right place!
