I need to replace the left fender on my IB. I've seen posts that say the WD fender is the same except it needs a couple holes for the center plate.  Others say that they fit but are not the same because the leading edge is different.  Has anyone compared the two side by side?  I'm using the stock right side and want them to look the same.  Also what has your experience been with the quality of the aftermarket WD fenders?  At least one supplier states they are not restoration quality.  I assume there is only one manufacturer.
Thanks y'all.

I bought a used pair of WD fenders 15 years ago at a farm sale.. The "stamping" is the same as the IB... There are a couple extra holes to drill or plug as they mount a little different.. The basic fender came off the same steel press.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Years back when I had my IB, I used WD fenders as well. They needed quite a bit of work to make em' fit nice. I'm not a body man so I had my body guy change em' over for me. He had to weld in the center plate, fill some of the WD holes and drill some new holes. I gave him the old IB fenders to use as patterns and to take measurements off of them. They came out nice, but they weren't a "drop on".
