Alot of things I don't like about smart phones, but my computer is old and operating systems are no longer supported so I find my self using my phone more to access sites that my computer is no longer able to load.

i been takin a few pics, only 3 have showed up on the phone outta about 50 i tooks. PffffffT! when i punch in the Wi-Fi to come here, i go to turn it on and it shows me a screen to turn it off. so i hit the turn off button, and it turned it on! WTF?

Yea, Ted, I got a new one a few months ago,guy at the store said ya can't even change the battery,,,so,,when it goes,well,I guess ya gots to Gen another phone,, I'm sure this has a pre-set service life built in...

was at wally world this morning early...was coming out to get in the burb and BONK...a dude so busy on his phone walked right into the side of the burb! (dumba$$) he said he was sorry and i said something about a almighty phone....used to be...don't text and drive, ad don't text and walk onto that!

The biggest gripe I have with smart phones is the cost. My flip phone cost me $20 and $7 a month for service. I can't find a smart phone that can compete with that cost.

think'smart' phones are bad ( part of the update is to get smartQRapps in) just look at the tech specs for Windows11......90% of the PCs used today will NOT be compatible...
in the meantime, the NE needs MILLIONS of fridges, stoves,furnaces,water heaters and yeah pickup/cars due to the floods....

Shameless, I work with an 81 year old general contractor that ONLY has used flip phones for eons, he recently "upgraded" to "new to him" flip AND provider (Verizon) and is ready to throw it under his car wheel to claim a loss !! Give it a few weeks and you'll be impressing your kids

Every time they upgrade, they screw up YOUR choices and settings! THAT I HATE!! And you MUST update, you don't have a choice. They only stand behind certain systems because then you HAVE to buy a new phone. You HAVE to update and then they say your phone can't be updated and will quit working in X amount of days. EVERYTHING in this country is being run by the big companies and obsolescence is built in. You don't have a choice anymore. I've had this phone for 4 or 5 years now and I still can't figure it out. I need to find a 3 year old that can figure it out, speak slowly and show me even more slowly. Pfffftt......

I'd like to know WHY you needed a new email ! Ain't no logic in that..... I've got both ISp provided email adrses as well as some Gmail accounts, all are 'linked' to Mozilla Thunderbird on this PC..
BT, if you push enough wrong buttons, that phone will turn into a 'brick'.....

You fellers aren't as bad technology wise as an acquaintance of mine.I asked him if he would drive tractor and round baler for me. Being appreciative for help,I allowed to give him the air conditioned 7060 and I would load bales in the heat with the 185 and loader. He took one look at the bale command monitor and said no! That is a computer and I don't want anything to do with one! I believe he was afraid the bale command would gain access to his bank account!

i had to get a new e-mail with this phone, didn't want texting and she looked at me real funny! tried several times to get it compatable with my lap top, when it would ask all kinds of silly questions, i'd push cancel and then it would hook up. PfffffT! tried calling the help line, no one answers. it goes to voice mail, but no one ever calls back. i haven't even found where my voicemail is hidden at yet. you know...if the other countries that hate us, all they'd hafta do is knock down the cell towers and that would sink us faster than hitting buildings full of people!

You should have your email on the new phone. Just send yourself an email with the pictures attached. Then go to your computer and open your email and there sits your pics!

You can still get NEW flip phones that are 5G compatible, I have one. You are not FORCED to get a phone from the service provider. Giving in to false things that you must do is nothing more that rolling over an allowing businesses to make you do things that are more profitable for them, like paying a buyers penalty and a crooks auction.

My $50 LG Phoenix 4 is on its last legs. Speaker volume is too low and the main camera is all foggy. I tried all the internet suggestions for the camera, did not help. Sound also.
The battery dies quickly. I deleted apps that suck up power. It just doesn't last like it used to. At least the battery is replaceable if I want to.
Sometimes from my shop, the reception is poor, drops calls. Only 1.5 miles to the cell tower. My longstanding complaint of all the phones is trying to read the screen in the sunlight. Another is when the usb connector socket wears out, and won't charge. They get stuffed with pocket lint and getting that removed (toothpick/air) can fix some of them. Usually I email a picture to myself for transfer to the PC. Of course all the crazy confusing icons and stuff like that makes me shake my head. Then they rearrange everything with each new release. They have "cool" names for the OS revisions. Jelly bean, Lollipop and such. Wow, that makes the kids happy I guess. There must be thousands of engineers and programmers working to keep this going.
It is amazing the amount of functionality they stuff in there. Telephone, radio, GPS, Compass, level, motion sensors, cameras, file storage, sound and video.

I bought one last Sunday. It is a Motorola Straight talk phone. I called the help number on the box. They were no help at all. I told him before I hung up that I was about to throw it out the window. Dixie has an i phone and took it and showed a few things. I have wasted all week messing with it. Almost figured how to take and up lpad viveo's. I tried to up load the last one I posted 10 times and gave up. Last night I checked Youtube on the first one and found it trying to up load all 10 at the same time on the laptop. I have spent all day off and on trying to companion the phone with the laptop to transfer data from the phone to the laptop where I have large screen and a large key board.

Had the 'Armored' flip phones until 2012, last one basically was falling apart after two years so went all in for a Iphone5, that died in 2016 or 17 and went to a 6S thinking would be around awhile even as the 8 was coming out, NOT so. Decided was going to stop the support of 6S phones and got into a trade out with ATT, now have a 12 where is not the fancy smancy model but is fine by me, somewhat water resistant out of the box so less prone to failing when on cycle rides.

My old flip phone is about to be cancelled. It is 3G and the service provider told me they are going to stop supporting it. I'll have to go to 4G or above .
I hate upgrading.
- I still use windows XP
- truck is 18 years old and car is 30 years old.
- garden tractor/mower is 53 years old

Had to get a new laptop because my 10 year old one bit it. Running W7 for years. Have to have it for work and home. Right out of the gate I thought what did what pile of chit did I just step into. After a month or so I'm getting onto it. Better in a lot of ways. Things have come along way.
