DON'T use main clutch as a slipping clutch - in or out , use steering clutches for control.
Set throttle for speed and leave it - unless it has decelerator.
Hope it has counterweight - carry load low when traveling - any machine !
Don't try to move a mountain with the bucket , start cut and fill bucket while moving , shave the material - not brute force into it.
Will push more than it will carry.

Unsure on that machine - center pedal is normally for applying both brakes at same time as well as engaging steering clutches to stop all power to track.

center pedal on all I have used is decelerator pedal. Take it slow, they are not a high speed machine, do like coke says.   He will be a very busy guy with all the hand controls.

Dang might have to try a HD6 some day - My HD5G and my F/A FD5  are different machines in many ways but once you run any machine it becomes easy .
Well except for when I had the HD4 - it seemed I got my feet and hands crossed up all the time .
