I have two machines that don't seem to slip, but also don't turn very good. Does anybody know how many hours a regular set of clutches get on average? How about bi-metallic?

Hard to tell when a machine that is over 60 years old - of how many times they might have been gone through or worked on .
The clutches either release or engage , or slip , and turning would be brake band and not clutch. I replaced the fiber discs in my machine in 1977 or so and put in HD11 metallic plates. - I figure machine has over 12,000 hours on it . I have replaced the brake bands 4 times since i owned the machine . Before replacing I washed the fibers a couple times - filling the case with diesel and then working machine lightly - draining case and blocking cultch open to allow plates to dry. I have a bunch of used fiber discs and a few metal plates left over from other machines that I want to sell
