Are there any resources out there still that give you the dimensions of the undercarriage components (chain, pins, rollers, idler etc.) for AC crawlers?  I'm looking specifically for the dimensions on HD11 chain but it would be great to have others for future reference.

HD7G(as I own) and HD11 share a size of rail 7" pitch similar to IHC/Dresser older units and is unavailable anymore, a few here have upgraded bottom rollers and sprockets to use Cat rails with decent results.

Why would some of those Allis specs have the same number for 50% and 75% wear?

Mightn't have been you

There is an inch/metric screw up in the FA 10 genuine manual I have in Fig 373 "Tilt angle in relation to tie rod length adjustment" in the tie rod mid position diagram.  The length fully extended is 3 feet 1 1/2 inches.  In the mid position it is 3 feet 3 inches.

And following up from the other track post.

I have usually worked on the best defence is usually offence.  So I bit the bullet and put a tape on our FA 10 tracks.

And had several more beers.

With around 2000 hours on them 711 mm.  75% is 718 mm.

The case hardened dozer fixed who pointed me on the replacements said ITM NOT Berco.

YMMV - I'm only reporting!

Checked the serial number oh my machine its HD11EP    13621.   Am I correct in thinking that undercarriage parts from an HD11B   5315 are different?

New rail height for HD11EP is 4.25".  Caterpillar says to install Cat D5 rails, with cat sprocket, rollers and idlers should fit, has been discussed before on this forum.  I have looked at HD11s with cat rails installed- looks factory, and can be run with Allis sprockets as well.  Most new D5 rails now measure a healthy 4.38" or so.  Pitch is slightly shorter than HD11, but bushing is smaller, so still fits in sprocket.  At one time Cat offered D5 bottom rollers with no holes in the end collars, so you could drill your own to fit, not sure if they are still available.  (was supposed to work on 10 F/A, adapter plate needed for HD11)
Collar numbers 6T7334 and 6T7332

I knew i didn't know anything but i didn't know how much i didn't know. Thanks a lot for all the information. A guy has to start somewhere. We have used old logging equipment and got the job done but that was before the 'modern era". I want to stay away from the machines with all the electronics definitely.

I just got the call from a friend that scraps Heavy Equipment, got a burned 953 with at least 70% rails and shoes, he is offering to me cheap so once I get the time he is going to hold for me.  I still have a set of 7G rails at my barn just no shoes to go with them.  One way or another my old machine will get new dance floor equipment as the old slick shoes and snaky pins/bushings are killing me when I go to use it!!

That is the pitch for every D6 up until the D6c. I do not know if that is available anymore or not. Cat had sprockets to us 6.91 inch pitch chain for the D5 for the older D6.  I have one that has that conversion ,includes bolt on sprocket segments.
