Just a pic from an old advertisement take with a cheapo camera phone... Went through many sales literature pieces looking for the HD11V and couldn't find any of them. Must have been speacial ordered. Still think that machine looks real good... like them twin intakes and exhausts.

Everything is peeled, rusted, etc. Oh well, the exercise was probably good for me. (2-3' of snow still here.) Andrew |

The parts book I've got lists a different decal for serials prior to 10001 vs 10001-up. Also another break pre-Jan 1966 vs Post-Jan 1966. But no pictures. Andrew |

Ted, did you sell or part out the IHC 500? I had a 500E loader for 15 years, pretty good machine, seals in the finals were the worst problem. Sold it to a friend who has had good luck with it but only runs it a few hours per year. I borrowed it back a few months ago to repair a damaged irrigation ditch and the bearings on one of the finals went out. Haven't opened it up yet to see how bad the damage is, hope it's just bearings but may be looking for parts...

I couldn't help but notice in the build stage pictures, it looks like your intake to the engine is on the dirty side of the air filter. Maybe you built a custom dual element housing? I enjoy seeing these old crawlers being saved and used. Too many are being scrapped because they are just too difficult to move and transport.

from what I seen on the air filter assembly is he has two filters in the housing... one on each end of the center section...look at the weld rings...as in discoloration, they are in each side of pipe that comes out of the center...

Hi guys, it is just as JC(WI) said, a dual element housing with two center dividers, I custom fabricated it all by calculating the amount of air required, two strokes require a bunch more air. There are 2 filters with internal safety filters, accessible from each side. I wanted it to fit in that particular spot and clear the exhaust, it worked out well, I just added a filter minder. I had one hole left for a gauge in the dash, I was torn between a fuel pressure gauge or a vacuum gauge, I decided on the fuel pressure and put the filter minder under the hood.. I don't have to clean them very often. Thanks Tad
