Should be able to find some...there are 2 different choices based on serial number.....do you know which one you are looking for?

No sir. I havent seen it in person yet. The guy that is selling it says the sprockets are still usable but will need changing soon. All this came up all of a sudden. Ive got 55 acres id like to clear to put cows on. Maybe a few acres tilled. Its got some wet spots so ive got to ask soil conservation if i can even do it

...if the sprockets are that bad,how do you think the pins and bushings are let alone the rails?

Major Problem is will need to change All or None to make it any viable. Several have gone to locating 955 or D6 Sprocket rings or Segments and then changing out Rollers and that means redrilling frames, Idler can be revamped to accept 6.91 Cat rails where those will then outlive the machine. Are NO 7.0 pitch rails available US any longer.

I've not had the good fortune to need to do it on anything that small. I remember well a TD-25B tractor doing that track walking bit that down in a pit in December, 1980. Getting it back together to replace track release seals back at the shop was an "ordeal" at best for a 20yo kid working by himself.

Worst ever had was a D8 48A, rolled one rail off in a Dirt Recovery company site, as he was trying to roll that back on rolled other side off. Had to roll BOTH back on to get out of the Hole as flood of 1984 was on the way!! Used a Old Track Hoe also in pit for heavy drag work.
Tractor ended up on cribbing for Segments DuoCone seal assemblies, trucks both off and all rollers both idlers resealed both tensioners and replaced both rebound springs, EIGHTEEN DAYS!!!! Bolts broke, had issues with anchor points wear, trucks ended at a weld/machine shop for three days of work.
Poor old machine had been neglected FOREVER, fairly certain were OE Rails. |
