hello everyone i had the hd6- ep out for a spin today and all was well so i started pushing brush around and all of a sudden no steering . moves back and forth alright and noticed pressure gauges are both low and fluctuating .also the cessena pump mounted on torque convertor housing is humming and vibrating so i figured either the pump is going or screen is plugged in pickup what do you guys think .

sounds like cavitation of pump , some exploring and finding if input is restricted.

I've been  using tractor hyd. fluid also. I think it contributes to the problem. I'm switching to the 10w oil (champion brand) as recommended by AC. It's about the same price as ATF and very thin. I've got the same problem as you and I'm sure it's the screen, but a SOB to get to!

The screen to which you're  referring is the one in front of trans on left side of input shaft.
