A Great Big Possum

I have seen some big Possums in my time; this one, although he don't look so impressive in the pictures, ranks among the five biggest I have ever seen; he was a hoss - or is he a she ?

Something drastic had happened to his tail; at least half of it was gone.

It would be quite difficult for him to wrap what was left of his short stub tail around a tree limb and hang there like you see in the cartoons.

This cat was within 15-feet of the Big Possum and both were well aware of each other's presence; I could not, however, manage to get both in the same picture.
