Im working on a 1953 dozer with a Detroit in it and i can get it to start with starting fluid but cant get it running. I have fuel to all line but no fuel pressure at the gauge unless i am sparying in the intake. I checked the filters and they are good cleared out settlement. I have got the dozer to move but again just on starting fluid. I have also looked at the line at the fuel pump. I have disconnected and cranked with lines off and i have a good supply. I am stuck any ideas?

Your rack may be stuck in the ‘off’ position. Each cylinder has its own injector and they have a linkage to the Governor inside the valve cover.

CAUTION! Make sure that if you get it freed up, that it doesn’t get stuck in the ‘full fuel position because you will destroy something, quite likely. Have something handy to shutoff the air in that case!

2 fuel filters , back pressure is what is measured by fuel gauge , 2 lines to each injector - supply and return . Both injectors tied together by RACK which is adjustable and moves injectors to proper fuel supply at proper time ,
Injector operated by cam via rocker arm , and each injector is set with a pin gauge to height before rocker contact so is a lash adjustment .
Fuel pump supplies head passages with fuel , circulates it through injector and back to head (cooling for injector)  then returns to tank .
On fuel tank is a shut off and strainer bottom center of tank , Lines may have worn area and leaking suction to pull fuel from tank
