Hello brand new to the forum. I have a question: I bought a CA a couple weeks ago at an auction. The note regarding the tractor, "stuck in second gear". I removed the side shift plate and was able to put the tractor in neutral very easily just with my finger. All the gears look fine. The problem is I can not get the shift plate on properly

Every time I put the plate on it is locked up. You can not see the forks when you reinstall the shift plate. I saw where one fellow recommended putting everything in revere and installing the plate, then move the shift slots to neutral
That does not work either. Is it possible to have bent shift paddles?
