The boys need another week to finish corn. Des Moines got hit pretty good. We gots enough to see a little white in the green grass. Hoping it holds off a day or 2, tow truck still hasn't picked up my old 2x4 pickup in down town Des Moines. Dang, old gal tells me I gots about 300 miles to drive tomorrow making deliveries. Hold her off another week. Old gal's 50th anniversary is gonna be at the little old church up the road on Sat the 24th. Dang, We moved over here in 1986 when we started the tire shop. NEVER even thought about retirement or 50th anniversary until a couple of years ago. Thought I'd buy a tye died T shirt and a pair of bell bottom jeans to wear to it. Shirt is no problem but I'll be darned if I'm gonna spend $50.00 on a pair of jeans.

I lived in NM for 6 years, get used to 100 degree heat most the time, 40 degrees puts a hurting on a guy, especially when it gets as windy as ND.
