Try to keep this short. Yesterday morning, wife going to work, car no start. She took me to work and took my truck to work. Son put a new battery in the car mid afternoon, ran great!  This a.m. same thing, no start, I went to work, she worked from home.  Call our mechanic, and said "Starter" issue. NOW, the car is a 2013, with about 100 and 5 thousand miles on it, not stating the make and or model, BUT it was a factory battery, giving us about 7 +  years of use!! Great job there!  SOO it is currently getting a new starter in it.  NOW for the time thing, she stated "it is about time, for me to get a new car".

Looks like in the next week, 2, or 3, I might be going out to breakfast, in one car, and returning in something different.

Dave,
It takes us a long time to find the next new car, sometimes a couple years. Good luck. You driving it up to see me?

Dave, yep it IS time to get your loving wife a new car.  I can recommend a couple.  Have her call me and I'll 'splain what is best about each model.  Shouldn't be more 'n about 50,000.  Wink

Chris, if he doesn't have a car, I'll probably have to drive him up to visit.  I'm looking for an excuse to come see the new building anyway, and while I'm there, I may have to get me a bottle of that maple mustard.

Hey Dave!! Since you're in a new car buying mood, my betrothed has mentioned a new car a few times. You might as well pick her one up while you're at it. Make, model, and color is completely up to you

Why would you want to replace a car that isn't even broke in yet. My old 01 burb has 3500,000 miles on it. Plan on getting a half a million miles out of it! Darrel

I don't think that's bad. Unless of course you're planning on replacing that too pretty soon because it's near worn out!

Dad has an '09 that just rolled 36,000. It's about like that!

Me on the other hand, my to-work buggy is a '10 with almost 182,000

My 04 Silverado is running like a top and it's got almost 175k on it.
I'd be asking HOW the starter can cause the battery to go dead.....  That I don't understand.
