Fired up the loader tractor to put out a couple bales and tractor had developed a loud squeal as well as transmission low oil lite on. Shutdown checked all oils which were good, fired up and no squeal. Low oil lite still on hit throttle a bit still lite on. Then put in gear no movement no hydraulics no steering. Shutdown. I am gonna start with the pump drive, then hydraulic pump. Is there a coupler that can strip the splines out on these units ? Never had one apart before. Thx for any ideas/info/experience. Tractor is an 83 8030 FWA PD.

Can that be changed from the front of tranny behind the pumps or is that a split job ? Never had anything to do with the torque limiter.

Put a new rear main seal in it while you’re at it.
