Where would I find a carb kit for an older WD? I went to a local fleet store and bought what I thought was a carb rebuild kit as marked "WD". Appears gasket doesn't fit and some parts aren't the same. Is there a serial number stamped on the carb somewhere?
Thanks.

Allis used a Zenith or a Marvel -Schebler on a WD. You have to know which one you have before you can get parts. They usually have their name on the carb. Bob |

The WD used both the Zenith small bore or the Marvel Schebler small bore carbs. You'll find the tag riveted to the fuel bowl on the Zeniths in most cases as in Stu's picture. The tags (if legible) will show the AC P/N on the outside, and the Zenith number on the inside around the rivet. On the M/S carbs, the tag is usually riveted to the side of the fuel bowl opposite of the fuel inlet. As Cal mentioned, the Marvel numbers start off with TSX-XXX and three digits afterward. The TSX-154 or 159 were popular M/S carbs for the WC applications. Large bore Marvels usually have their ID tags under the mounting flange. We offer kits, parts, and rebuilding services if interested... HTH |
