The seller may have to pay capitol gains tax on those !! I believe that is as much or more than they cost new. In 1969-70 the going rate was about $100-$120 per PTO HP.

I thought everything on that sale sold really well. We were interested in the newer agco but not at those prices. They were all really clean and well cared for tractors!

I think Doc is right. In 1972, we bought a new 185 for $7,500.00

Seller was neighbor and crop insurance sales man. Few years back Rusty bought equipment from the family corporation. Home farm was sold off to local BTO. Does anyone know how to view result? Surprised the 175 brought more then 185 with factory canopy! We would have liked Kinze Planter. 155 was very nice and practically new. Last I saw was $80,000 few hours before ending.

From what little I could tell from the pictures pothere they looked nice. Probably cheaper than fixing one up yourself. Were these tractors original paint ? What did a AC 175 tractor cost new in 1978 ? Kinda wondering price between a MF 275 and AC 175 tractor ( similar horsepower and size ), neighbor bought a new MF 275 tractor for $11000 if he told me right ( I was 19 years old then ).

I've got a book at home that tells me the last manufacturers list price for any model tractor. So, I can find that for a 175/185 as they both were up to about 1980-81. That price would just be for std equipment and options would be on top of that. LIST price. Not dealer selling price.
