Help me D21 shopping

I have always wanted one. D17,180,200,7060 is my background. Started looking recently and found out it's a slippery slope. 

Some have been kept up and are pretty sound. Others are a pig with a coat of new paint slapped on them. Beware !!    A "very early" serial number (to me) would be a non-turbo 103 PTO HP model. If it has the turbo/engine oil cooler kit added on, that's what it is.....an added on turbo kit from A-C which was offered but it wasn't on it from the factory.  The engine s/n tag is on the left rear side of the block. The chassis s/n is very close by stamped into the bell housing. If the chassis is D21-1001, the engine is probably 3D-1003 or 3D-1004.  Those engines in 1963-64 were almost exclusively used in the D-21 tractor. Finding an engine s/n that indicates it is probably the original engine (to me) makes it worth more $$$$$$ when you go to sell it on your estate sale. I feel a PTO makes them worth more, as does a factory 3-point hitch. Make sure the top link anchor holes aren't broken off as that is a deduct in value.   18.4 x 34 tires (for me) are a huge deduct. 24.5 x 32's are muscle tractor material.  18.4 x 38's are in between.  I recently saw one for sale that originally had 18.4 x 34's when new, but somewhere in the last 60 years had the rims widened and 20.8 x 34's mounted. They stand as tall as 18.4 x 38's (a good thing) but resale wise, better than the 18.4 x 34's but not (to me) as valuable as the other two sizes.  A curved front "starter" weight is a great thing !!!   Fenders skirts also are desirable.   Rear axle seals that aren't leaking a puddle wherever you park it is also a good thing. If it runs well, and you drive it....you'll get hooked. They were one of a kind !!

Guy in Iowa had one for sale- he paints them and does a great job- Id trust that one,,
