   Hi All!

I'm working on a D17 Series 1, and need low-pressure/high volume live hydraulic power... wondering if anyone has a similar machine with a front-driven hydraulic pump... if so, would you mind posting or sending pictures, and telling me about how it's done? Specific questions: I see there's a crank-access hole in the aft end of the radiator shell/power steering area in front of the crankshaft pulley. I DON"T see a hole through the tinwork in the front... do guys just hole-saw through there, or what? LOOKS like the front crank pulley has bosses that'll accept bolts for a plate-type coupler... is this how people do it, or is there a better/wiser way... was there a special coupler, or a different drive sheave made to suit front-end PTO applications? |

There should be a knock out for the crank hole in the front shroud.
