I have a 1960 Model D AC motor grader. I'm in need of the transmission brake band. Does anyone know where I can get one or do I need to have my existing repaired with a new shoe and riveting?

there is a guy named Rick on the forum here that does all sorts of clutch and brake re-linings. He usually runs ads in the classifieds. I'll see if I can find him for you, unless he sees this and jumps on it. Darrel

Any good brake shop should be able to re-line the band.

Just bought a 1952 Model D Motor grader and the lining on the band is worn down from 3/4 of it. Did you ever get yours replaced?

When I had my D grader I took the brake band to a brake shop and they had no problem installing a new lining.

Perfect thanks. I can’t find anything online so that is what I am going to do. Just need to dissemble it without breaking anything.

I can reline your brake band for you, so send me a message and we'll go from there, if interested. Rick
