The switch has 3 positions.
Low roadway High roadway Full field mode On the rear lights. It has the rear work light and the fender warning light. Which switch position should the rear work light turn red? Is the fender light supposed to flash or be on steady? And which switch position should that be ? |

Low and high road should have your tail light and flashers. Field would have your work lights.

Just to expand a little, both yellow lights are flashers. Flashers and tail light should go off when you are in field mode (all lights would be "white" in the field). Dad's 180 had two yellow flashers (one on each fender) and one rear red light on the left fender.

Light Switch on 180/185 has 4 positions, (from Operator Man'l) ;
1. OFF, to full left. 2. DIM, outside head lamps (2 lamps each fender) Red tail lamp ON and Amber warning lamp on/flashing. 3. BRIGHT, outside lamp is bright, Red tail lamp ON and Amber warning lamp on/flashing. 4. WORK, all 4 head lamps on, and rear work lamp is on. Honestly, I don't remember ever seeing a 100 series with a RED tail lamp.

The late 185's had a red lamp 70269613 and I think some others towards the end of the run. Very few lasted very long :-)
