Third brain surgery in seven years. Doc says they got it all, but MRI showed two tiny spots they could not access, so chemo and/or radiation again. He and his bride just had twin girls last Sept. They were able to visit dad in hosp yesterday. That cheered him up some

O my Gosh Lou, evidently I have missed this whole topic somehow, what is the issue with your son, cancer of some sort?
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

  Had two friends with brain tumors, one passed the other had it removed successfully, neither was cancer, weird stuff.     Prayers sent.

Ya, it is a cancer, but he has a few things going for him. It is not a type of cancer that metastasizes (if I am using the correct term) else ware in the body, and it generally grows on the outside of the brain, next to the skull. It does send shoots into the brain, but with constant monitoring (MRI every three months, probably for the rest of his life) they can catch those quick enough to nip them in the bud. That was the reason for this surgery, they saw something on the last two or three MRI's that they felt compelled to investigate. Turned out to be some new growth, plus some dead tissue from previous surgery. 

I, and I am sure he does too, appreciates all those who offering up prayers!

You may want to check out PROTON THERAPHY at the Oklahoma Proton Center in Oklahoma City.  
Proton treatments are less invasive and do less damage to surrounding tissues than other types of cancer treatments.

To have a an Adult Child with Cancer is a fear of Parents. I know as my youngest Son is a Cancer survivor. My thoughts and prayers are with Lou and his family.
