To complications from covid. He had been hospitalized for about a week. Thankfully on Wednesday I was able to call and tell him goodbye. Got a text from his daughter Friday morning that he had passed. We served together in the Air Force in 1971 and 1972 and our families had been friends since even though they lived in Alabama and we didn't get to visit often.

My condolences Hubert. Losing a 'brother' is a hard thing and I know you can bear up with it. Thank you both for your service and you Hubert for your continued service as a Firefighter. We never quit.... Be proud of your time together.
