Thats a very good read, that Terry Wood fella had a great job! !!! I wish i knew how to put a mag on here, i have a copy if NTPA from 85 that features all the AC pullers, Max Simpson + Kieth, Barbec Bros, Noble Harrison, Brad Powell , all the top pullers at the time, gotta figure it out

That is a very good artical. I was surprised to see Justin Shaffer's name in it he is a very good friend of my son they met in College. I have seen him pull once but never been to Portersville. When I saw pictures of his D-17 with all of that weight I couln't believe it didn't break into.

There are 3 ways to do job GOOD, FAST, CHEAP. YOU MAY CHOOSE 2. If its FAST & CHEAP it won't be GOOD, if it's GOOD & CHEAP it won't be FAST, and if its GOOD & FAST it won't be CHEAP!!!!

Doug G from MO. can you tell me the month of that puller mag. from 1985? i called NTPA to see if i can buy one and they need to know the exact month and year. if you can tell me that would be great. thanks

Its the NTPA November 1985 issue , if they dont have it , ill have copies scanned , its a very good read !

Great article,but it talks about early years as being 50's and 60's. The first tractor pull in the U.S. was in Bowling Green,Missouri in 1929. There was an article in Hook magazine but don't remember what year about this first pull. Thanks and have a good day. Gary
