Vbelt Type 3 Sickle Mower size

I roughly measured the outside of the belt to be 57 inches with a width at the top of the v being 7/8" and 1/2" at the bottom of the v.  There are two different part numbers in the parts list depending on year.  Mine has the 'newer' pittman arm connection if that helps.  What is the correct length for the v belt and is it measured on the inside?  I would like to get a spare as the one that came with the mower is showing some wear.
