was in the chow store last Tuesday, picked up some "Thousandhills" hamberger that was all pre-wrapped, didn't know if it would be any good on my taste palate or not being only grass fed. (we always grain feed our cows). anyways...i saw a bag of "almond" flour, i've never seen almond flour before. i was reading the package and it said to add some of this to existing foods made from flour. was a smaller about a 1/2 lbs package. expensive? yep! but i'll always (well almost always) try something new. soooooo.....yesterday i made up some pancake mix. did the usual and then added a heaping teaspoon of the almond flour, mixed it in well, poured the batter on the grill, and added a few fresh blueberries to the cakes after the pour. i had sum pre-cooked up bacon in the freezer, took them out and set sum slices on the grill too. now when i cooks bacon on the grill i cooks it crispy, cuz i add it to other foods that i cook up, and this makes it easier to crumble up. the old lady....ooooops....i mean the loving wife don't like crispy bacon. so i poured sum water on the bacon and set a grill dome over them. they was kinda offset from the pancakes so they didn't get burned. after scooping up the cakes on the plate i grabbed the bacon, it was soooooooo tender, was just like i cooked it up! so that worked real werll! now...back to the pancakes....them was the BESTEST tasting pancakes we ever ate! we used some maple syrup that Sugarmaker shipped us, and now the old lady....ooooops.....i mean the loving wife...wants me to make them pancakes every morning! i'll incorporate some of that almond flour into other things i'll cook up this summer. sure don't take much to change the flavor in the pancake batter. i'm gonna try making ciminum...cimmanum...cinamim...(chit...i can't pronounce it so how can i spell it?) anyway...try making rolls this summer, should be good with that! oh....and yes...i still use milk and eggs in my pancake batter!

WinkWinkWinkYou are shameless the water thief.Angry First you sucks all the high up water to your dern old machine for "pretty". Then you pack off a 5 gal bucket full in ever almond you buy.LOL

No I don't really think that 5 gal for every nut stuff is true. Confused But some of the nut jobs (that did not grow on the tree) have made that claim.LOL But you could at least aim the "machine" west some times.

Shameless Dude out a head of the crowd again. Glutens free cooking and he is not even aware.LOL But this is only reduced gluten if still got other flour in it. All from the Atkins diet to the newer low carbohydrate diets. But if your blood sugar is high headed for diabetes it is reported to help a lot. But I don't think you are allowed any tree sap on it then.LOL

From WebMD Does maple syrup raise your blood sugar?
Maple sugar is naturally sweeter than white or brown sugar, however. You can use less in the kitchen to get the same effect. While maple sugar's lower glycemic index helps prevent blood sugar spikes, it can still raise your blood sugar level.Oct 6, 2020

I use 4 level teaspoons (pretty hard to heap it up!) of pure maple syrup as a sweetener in my coffee. My Dad liked it that way and I have followed his lead.

Whee....that seems like a lot.  I like mine black, so I'll find a different use for it.
Shamers,,,,,,, I'm gonna have to look for some of that next time I get to the store.

My all time favorite breakfast is; eggs over easy, hash browns(the long shredded style), whole wheat or rye toast w/butter.
Take the eggs, place on top of the hash browns, and mix together. Nothing better.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.
