Anyone remember the old discussion about these? was it D10 or D14 renders that were close???

I think the last discussion on the subject proved inconclusive. Some said D14, some said D10/12 fenders. I can't provide a working link but if you search member "skookumyeti" posts over the last year, you'll find the discussion there.

I have personally inspected a number of ED 40's which appeared to be original undisturbed fenders.  One had 14 fenders another had D10/D12 fenders on it.  All I can offer at the moment.

yes the D 14 fenders are close to being the same at least the ED 40 i have
