I have a 1953 WD #143391 with the WD-45 rear end with the 2 disc hand clutch. Can I put a WD-45 3 disc clutch back in it's place? Thanks.
It's the color tractor my grandpa had!

Yes.They are interchangeable.

May not release good because the shaft is worn where the 2 disc have been and 1 of the 3 will be in old grove 2 will be out of worn grove. Have done it before and has never released good.   MACK

We have have put in several 3plate clutchs in 2plate tractors and never had a problem.
