This one is from Cora (4). We were on our way home from my Nana's house and she said "giraffes are mammals because they breathe with their lungs, they have live babies, and they have hair". My wife said "very good Cora". Then Cora continued "people are mammals too....... Except Pop (my dad)..... He's just sorta a mammal because he doesn't have much hair". After a good laugh my wife asked "where did you hear that?" Cora said "I knew that when I was 1 but I couldn't talk then so I couldn't tell you"

My daughters oldest a boy just 4 is a hipper go go kid but very observant. So when pregnant with the next she says "I hope the next one is no so smart". Well now that little sis is 14 months there is nothing dum about her.   May not be hipper active like big brother but already see the wheels turning to keep thing stirred up.LOL

And grandpa sure like to watch the action.

You gotta watch them girls. They'll steal your heart and turn you into a puddle of mush before you know what happened.

That’s awesome. I love reading these.
I have a good friend and co worker that has a young son and daughter. I’ve observed that the son cant get by with anything and the girl gets by with everything .

According to my 2 year old GD, I do not own anything.
It's her sheep, her tractors, her farm, etc.

Sent my granddaughter a picture of my D15 I bought while it was still on the trailer and her reply was "Grandpa, it's mine and you can't have it." Now that she is in college it is still hers.

The things that they say, even after they think about it for a bit....  Just read Art Linkletter.  Ask any Grandfather.  I've laughed till my sides were splitting.  And they never let up either.  God bless em....

Raised 4 boys.  Gave up on trying for a girl.
Have 5 girl grand children. 2 we never see. They live way off somewhere. 3 we do see and are able to love. 2 are off in college.   Both of these girls have suddenly decided there is no GOD. Breaks our hearts To hear such come out of their mouths

1 is so sweet. Still In Highschool.  She was born on her Grandmothers birthday.  Makes her pretty special. Her middle name is GRAYCE.   Abigale Grayce has a ring about it.
We pray for them all even the two we have no contact with .
Raising kids in this day and time makes one wish --    Never mind.

We opted for 2. Disn't matter to us if they were boy or girls but we had twins. Boom. Done.

When we bought the 5 acre homestead and the 155 row crop portion wemt to a corporate farmers holdings, one son did ask me.
Dad? Why didn't we just buy the whole 160 acres?
Well son, do you realize what it takes to get into farming?
Well sure dad, All you need is a tractor, a combine, and a spreader.
A spreader?
Well duh dad, ya gotta spread the seed.
I still gots my A/C but it's clear out in the barn now.

Yep,,we're like most others here,,we raised 5 boys and thank the Lord none of them came out to be thieves or criminal druggies. Like most others, we got 6 Grandchildren and 4 we never see,,(SIGH),,,,,I remember growin up,,,,,"visitin kin" was always a priority for my parents,,they never had much money,,but kin was a great replacement, and us kids used to look forward to the weekends to go visit "somebody",,,
Hey Ken,,,,I really feel for you with the two girls. That seems to be the norm these days that the dang professors at the college level are indoctrinatin our youths against Christian values and beliefs. I am a firm believer in expecting all Educators to "teaching instead of Preaching"
I wish Congress would pass legislation that defunds all public funded schools, colleges, etc from any public supplied funds when they start preaching to our children,,,,,!!!!

Joe and Ken,,,,, HOW are we going to turn these United States around??  They can't teach our kids to read and write, to add and subtract, but they can teach em to hate God....

Scientists,,,,BAH,,,,,,PROVE to me that we came from apes!  Prove to me that we came from some amoeba that crawled out of the ocean,,,,BAH!!!  I call BS!!!

Where did the ocean come from??  The 'big bang' THEORY??  That's EXACTLY what it is, a THEORY!!

Ask your girls what they think about that Ken....

We used to visit family (kin) EVERY Sunday growing up.  Everyone would all meet at *(one of the relatives) house and then next Sunday it was at another of the * relatives.  MEMORIES that last forever...

The best things in life????,,,,,,,,,,,,,God and Country, relatives, good friends and Allis-Chalmers..... (but not necessarily in that order...) Big smile
