It all depends, on the inputs to get those yields.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Also depends on calibration of monitor! I have seen 300 but corn in places in fields but the yield over all of the field was less.

I watch Brian somebody near Chilliocthe, Ohio on Youtube now and then. He's got a almost new Gleaner 97 and is quite impressed with it. One field was at 350 BPA on part of it. He was also test running some other new combine but wasn't allowed to even say which brand it was, much less show a picture of it.

combines lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ---advertising these FALSE amounts just makes the price drop even more! Guys around here used to INFLATE the actual yields AND elevator guys jumped on the price PLUS really got on the dockage, color, test weight, etc., so its better to keep your private info to yourself and smile all the way to the bank! lol!

Agreed. Keep the numbers to yourself till after it’s sold. Never understood the value giving your buyer any information on how much your holding

My observation is yields are always higher in the restaurants where coffee is served farmers! When the crop is weighed and sold the yield goes down!

The guy selling seed corn always has 200+ bushel corn and 70 bushel beans But I never see that many semi loads leave the field

Back in 1936 Dad did custom combining with his '36 WC and All-Crop combine. He said that the acreages in some fields shrunk in the fall. Said it must have been the dry weather.

We had the same acre problem when we did custom work! -- We usually checked up at the asc office to see how much the fields shrunk! --- most of our customers were honest.
