1961 D17 over haul is coming as soon as the ford 5000 is sold.
Searching the internet there at least two different kits.
One place has one as a inframe kit and another one as a over haul kit.

What is the differance besides the prices.

there sure is a huge spread in the in frame kits also.

Only someone who doesn't know that type of engine would ever do an "in-frame" overhaul. It will need camshaft bearings and a rear seal to be done correctly and that means "out-of-frame".

Overhaul kit usually includes new pistons and sleeves from what I have seen.  I agree with Dr. Allis.  Definitely do the camshaft bearings while you have it apart.

dito: never done a tractor engine, but have done several vehicle engines.  if the cylinder walls, bearings, etc. are worn, so is the cam bearings. and the rear seal is a no brainer, pull the engine out.  a bit more work, but atleast when it's done, it's done right.
Just cause it's orange don't make it a tractor, there's only one..Allis Chalmers

Call those selling and ask them what the difference is.  Most don't know. I'll be happy to walk you through our kits and explain why I sell them.
