What brand dryer sheets are the best for mouse repellent? I know one year I used a different brand and the little bastards ripped them up and made a nest out of them.
Now it's time to store the camper and I can't for the life of me remember what I used originally.... |

Supposedly Bounce. I have had mice make a nest in the bounce box in the camper. The only thing that has worked for me is box every thing in Rubbermaid and park the camper on gravel near the barn full of cats. I'll wager the cats had more to do with it than anything.

I've had good luck with Bounce but I imagine like everything else, they will get accustomed to it over time. I also throw a couple d-con bags but the bags weren't touched.

I store the camper in a large, dry machine shed out in the country. There are some cats around. I throw a big box of dryer sheets everywhere and set some traps. One year, one compartment under the kitchen bench had to have a sandwich bag of corn stashed in it, but no mouse droppings. Have never caught one in a trap. I also set trays of mothballs around the tires. Been working so far....

One thing it will do is give them a springtime fresh smell.

Our feral cats take care of the mouse problem we used to have. They are now getting them before they get to the house or barn, and then they bring them, or part of them, to the door step as an offering for their mother to enjoy!

Seems people have better luck with bars of Irish Spring Soap as a deterrent !

Put the dryer sheets down and place a box of Decon on top of it. Never had dryer sheets along work in anything.

Seems the Decon as well as the pellet type bait is great for mice to store away for later but does little to deter the populace .
I now use the block type bait that one can set down in a can with nickle size holes in it or bait stations with a peg bait slips over so it isn't carried off but ate there Had the pellets out in back shop where i had one motorcycle stored - when I started the bike found the muffler was packed with bait pellets which came flying out the one pipe

I have fun mouse trapping. Get them old victor mouse traps with the metal trigger. Take a kernel of dried corn or sweet feed and crimp it in the metal trigger. They tug on the grain, dead mouse. Remember check your traps every day, Don't hide them put them were you can see them. the mice will find the grain.
