Hi Nick,

The tractor is looking really good.

If your still looking for a repair to the hood. Have you thought of cutting a car door skin with the rolled edge already there and brazing / mig welding it onto the old hood? It may be possible to get a new old stock door skin from a local bodyshop and do the same. New skins in my experience come partly rolled and a tool is available quite cheaply to finish off the rolling? Just a thought.  I'm in the UK but I can't see bodywork being any different in the US.

I'm almost at the end of a rebuild like yourself. I'm doing a B in similarly cramped conditions to you. You're getting a better finish than me on the paint I'd say.

Nick, for your hood repairs you might try a race car fab shop a good shop with have the tools to reproduce/repair the bad spots in it.

I have Dad's 8' brake and all his old sheet metal tools and I'm going to keep them around just for this type of jobs.

Thanks Steve
I will live with the hood for now. I wasn't able to get it like I want. I am going to do some searching for one and may know where there is one here close to the house but haven't had a chance to talk with the guy.   I will look into these places for decals.
