Wow! A 15' can be run on an F2, much less an L2! If it was any smaller, you'd be harvesting in road gear!

Another beautiful Gleaner!!
We have a 24' on our L3 and we generally cut at 4.3 mph. But that's an L3. Not sure what an L2 would do. Probably pretty close. Gotta love that characteristic Gleaner smoke stream!! Easiest way to tell where the neighbors are cutting today! ![]() Still not sure of the differences in a standard combine and the "Corn Plus". That's a very nice One-Ninety also!! We sure don't have many of those around here...

Creston, my L2 is a late '82, so its pretty close to being a L3, it would be neat to run yours and mine side by side!
the nearest I can tell the Corn Plus has some beefed up wear areas and a larger clean grain elevator. also it has a variable speed feeder house which I think was also unique to a Corn Plus and thanks for the comments on the 190! Edited by Mike Plotner - 15 Jul 2015 at 10:48pm |

the guy I bought it off of had a 1972 L also, and he sold it with a 20 foot head and a 6 row orange corn head. when I bought this one, it had the 15 foot head and freshly rebuilt 6 row black head. I asked why he didn't had the 20 footer on the L2, he said the automatic header control didn't work as well and since they kept the L2 around for 2 years after buying the 9600 they figured they might as well keep the head that's nice to operate |

I can't say that I blame them
![]() If I had the luxury of selling one of two options, I'd sell the lesser one two. Still, though, it is definitely a nice setup that you have there (Including the 190)! |

You never know....
This year, we went for a combine. The White 2-105 is probably one of the best tractors out there, but it is only one machine, and there are two of us. When the time comes, the 190 is definitely on my short list. Between it and the 7000, that's actually most of the list.... |

Mike, congrats on 3 excellent pieces of equipment;
Gleaner L2, AC 190xt III, & JD7000 planter. I also like the gleaner's smoke tornado... Your evening photo of the 190xt with its lights on is a neice touch. Thanks for sharing. |

got that right! the fan just cant keep up! it used to blow a lot more smoke until I dumped a bottle of injector cleaner in it, dad was shelling corn across the road from where I was last year and he said he could always tell where I was because of the smoke trail! |
