Dad and I went to our MF/Gleaner dealers open house to day. We put our names in for the giveaways, then they served us a really good meal. Next, we were then showed the latest from Gleaner, the S77, MF tractors, loaders, sprayers, mowers, and tillage. Then one of the salesmen came to me and told that I won the grandprize of a 25 gallon ATV sprayer.

After the day slowed down, I asked the owner if he would please give us the tour of his old building that his father used to sell AC's and Gleaners out of. He took us in and ,WOW, there sat a "B", 2-D21 series II's, a 210, a 220. All fully restored to the max! He also pointed out an old HD motorcycle. It was leaning up against---HIS FATHER'S ALLIS-CHALMERS DEALERSHIP SIGN. I put this in capital letters because it was the biggest sign I have ever seen. I'll bet it was 20' long. And "No" was the answer given when I asked if they would sell it, so don't even try it. The new building was put up about 1975 or so. This was the first time I have been back inside the old store since then. It was a fun stroll down memory lane.

Thank you again to Denny, Jim, and Dave Carroll of Carroll Imp LuVerne, Iowa. What a day.

You did have a good day!
Obviously, you have a great dealer to work with. It is a shame that these relationships aren't valued by corporate management like they are by the customers and dealers. Dealers that connect with the customers like this will sell more equipment and generate more good will than one or two mega dealers per state will.
If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done!

If you zoom in under the landhandler the decal is caroll imp. LuVerne IA.   We are the second owners.  The first bought it from Caroll imp, and we were told that they did all the service work on it. We did have the inj. pump, injectors and turbo rebuilt, Just because it had been sitting for so long,it has been a great tractor, the quality of service really shows on this one.  This pic was last sunday, plowed a hayfield and then the sunflower patch, was a little wet but has been raining since so I guess it was o.k.
