We're moving a 400 series loader from one D17 without power steering to another D17 with power steering. The problem I'm having is that the D17 we're moving the loader to has a stand alone power steering pump that is run off a second belt from the main pulley. Since the main pulley is set up for 2 belts, there's no clearance for us to mount up the casting the shaft slides into to run the loader hydraulic pump off the front of the engine. The casting is a 4 bolt set up and there are only 3 holes tapped into the main pulley. Has anyone else ran into this same scenario and is there a different casting that Allis made that is a minimum clearance for this type of set up?

3-hole pulley is from a Gleaner combine engine, not a tractor.

Sounds like you'll have to either change some parts around to get the proper pulley down there, or make a custom coupler with 3-hole pattern.
Making these things isn't difficult, as long as you have a metal lathe and some various materials available. If not, you're kinda stuck. |

The Gleaner 3 bolt coupler uses a left hand thread shaft to drive the pump. Get the shaft and the coupler. |

There's not room for the combine parts....front support is in the way......drive coupler has to be countersunk in the pulley.

Priced a new pulley, coupler and hydraulic pump shaft from Agco today....almost $1100 for all 3! $457 just for the pulley...wow.
