Howdy,,,,,,,,, Chit,,it one of them days,,er nites,,when I wake up and just cannot seem to get back to sleep,,,, Some time back, I had some issues with Firefox and/Or a printer I had bought,,so I deleted Firefox and started using MicroSoft Edge which had worked out OK EXCEPT,,,,,,While I may not be a diehard Trump fan,,,I myself have benefitted from his policies and I don't mind saying so,,,SO he's my man,,,!! But,,,,but,,, the news feed that accompanies Edge is very biased against all things Trump and I don't like that CHIT,,!! I looked last nite and tried to figure how to delete Edge's news feed and go to Firefox as they were some better, because,, I want to read "NEWS" NOT opinions,,!! Now, I know Edge is MicroSoft's baby and MS keeps telling me THEY own the operating System I use, I do not think I got to read their biased news articles,,I doubt MS will allow you to delete edge,,(?) but Who does everybody use for news,,,?? Anyone know how to do this?

You can UNINSTALL 'edge'. OK, it stays in the PC, just not 'active' or 'running.
While I have Edge on this PC, I downloaded and installed FIREFOX ( now V103.0.2), kept as MY browser. Made it my DEFAULT browser. It works fine...
I don't look at newsfeeds...already POed at stuff I see on TV,don't need MORE krap on on PC screen !
My BigB with Windows1 is that 'search' HAS newsfeeds and other suggestions and runs 24/7.so far NONE of the 3-4 ways to delete the upgraded search have worked for me

grr.... I can't uninstall.... BUT if you reinstall Firefox, make IT the default, Firefox will be YOUR browser. MS won't allow us to uninstall some of their products.... though you could find the folder and try deleting it..... just found out MS updated my edge version,even though I don't use it, and it don't show up in the 'start' list of program, er apps...... when you do instal
yeesh only 8 here, gota be real early out west !
I don't do much to WIN10 'apps'..PITA nothing 'works' the way it used to...

I use CHROME.... but you can have several ICONS at the top of the HOME PAGE.. First one on my list is FOXNEWS.COM ............ i just click on that, and your ready to go.. Dont pay any attention to MSN.

Well, I ain't having any luck with Firefox on this Go Round,,,,,,I got it downloaded and they was GLAD to see me back,,,,and,,,,and,,,they told me so,,,!!!!  But then it all went to Chit,,,,For one thing ,,I like to have a "Home" Button, and I'll be go to hell,,I have NO Friggin idea why the latest version of Firefox does not have a "Home" icon and,,AND,,I'm finding it dang near takes an act of a crooked congress to get one on the browser,,,,!!! I got on the FF web site and believe it or else,,they were NO HELP,,,!!! WTF,,,???I got referred to another web site and after messing with it for some time,,,I figured the friggin fbi was re-searchin it so,,,I deleted Firefox and sent em a good long FU email,,,and deleted it again for good measure,,,,,they wanted to know WHY I was leaving,,,so I let em have BOTH barrels, spit in their eye,,and called em a few choice "Mitch" names and,,,,and,,,here I am,,,with MS Edge,,,CHIT,,,,,,

If you want to add a home button, just right click on the toolbar and select "customize". Choose the home icon and drag it to the toolbar. Done.

DJ, I've got FF 104.0.1 up and running jes fine.... has the 'home' icon, my 'home' page is Google as I'm always looking up stuff....

 Just another one of the things that have screwed my computer up lately is some adds on Marketplace. An as Joe like's the "deals" we all hope to score. The last one did have something about it  , I though it would a dealer in side X side UTV's rather than individual selling one they had. It was not but had other click bait ( all UTV stuff none of them cuties that forgot their cloths) and I turned it off and left the space waste site. But the puter was very slow in responding to commands. As it was near my bed time I tried closing it down. Did funky things but would not bring up close down button. So I did a hard stop and left it for the night. Started slow the next morning and asked about restoring file, which I did not. Was slow for a few minutes but has been Ok for a week or so.
The other was a similar from a add on marketplace, but a different puter my computer enthralled son gave me as it was to be faster than this one I had 3 years or so. Which is one he redid As he trades and fixes on puter when he feels like it. But if I ask to much he doesn't feel like it. Had bit different keyboard and seem no faster to me, but hay it was working. But I clicked one to many times looking for the deal (don't even remember what product, no shameless still no girls). Got It closed down but did not restart in the morning. I forget what it asked, but it's sitting waiting for the fixer to take time to look at it.
So be careful out and about looking them cheap things.

FBMP required me to supply a cellphone to finalize my joining ('everyone' raves about how good MP is...).Well it only asked for EITHER cell or email....I chose email... It took them 63 days to abort my 'new account' BS... NO way for ME to tell them 'no thanks' and NO way to NOT join without a cell/smart fone.

The facebook account is hers I peak at what she and the kids are saying about me, but other than marketplace I don't really do facebook, until my Wonderful says look at the pictures of this or that kid.
Marketplace is so random as to what it comes up with even after putting something so specific as tractor in the search. I think top dog is doing to make me crazy. Or did I prove I was crazy playing with rust junk.  |
