I was west bound on US 20 this morning and came to an underpass in New Carsile that had an east bound train with mainly flatbed cars . I counted 22 CIH combines that were plain to see, but there were also 4 machines wrapped in a white skin Confused. The "cloaked" units were clearly CIH, but why the wrap ??

They do that to hide experimental units. Deere has a plant about 60 miles north east of here. Once in a while we will see one on a truck headed south on I35. I don't know if they have a test farm in Texas.

years ago we was eating at the fancy resturant in a casino in council bluffs IA, and a whole train load of new Case/IH combines went east. i told about it on this forum, and someone asked if they had a blue stripe on them? i said yeah and he said those are going overseas. i don't remember who it was that said it. did those have a blue stripe that you saw? it looked awesum seeing the whole train carrying nothing but combines.

No blue stripe Wink. Quite frankly I was amazed that ANY manufacturer was pumping out combines Smile.

I made a short trip delievering today. I saw quite a few semis with farm equipment, new Deere dozers, skid loaders headed south on I35 today. I actually took time out of my day to take Mom to KFC for dinner. She wanted to stop at the FSA office and take care of some business. The doors were all locked. I called them, told them a 97 year old gal needed to talk to someone about a card she got. They wouldn't even come to the door and talk thru the glass. Instead they had put a mail box on a chair outside the door. Put the card in the mail box. They said I will call you about the card as soon as I can see it. It must still be in the mail box cause I never got a call from them. Boy sure ticked me off that they couldn't even come out and talk thru the door glass.

If those blue stripe ones are headed overseas I think they do not have to have the required emissions and etc on them that is probably why they are different.  Had a friend work for CAT and he was working on a project to send some equipment overseas and said they would not meet emissions standards in the states
