No brake lites on the taillight cluster, no 4-ways.
3rd brake lite works above the rear doors.
Signals, running lites all work.
All fuses, relays appear good.
Do the brake lites run thru signal/hazard switch on the steering column?
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I would say Yes - check under dash on brake lite switch - but if year upper light works than would say it's in connection under back - then again if the turn signals work -
 You have a problem !

The circuit board that the bulbs plug into from the wire harness are notorious for going bad from my experience. Most parts stores keep them in stock.

most often its the circuit board in the tail light housing. sometimes you can remove the bulbs clean the socket and install new bulbs. most auto parts stores stock the circuit boards and there fairly cheep. I think the last ones i changed were $50 for the pair and they had new bulbs installed. From the factory the bulb sockets had a wax grease coating and last a long time. once you change out the original bulbs moisture and dirt get between the bulbs and contacts a little while later new bulbs wont fix it because the contacts corrode and wear.

All sockets have that grease in them. Just the bulb filaments for the brakes don’t come on when stepping in the brake pedal(dual filament bulbs). Running lites, and signals work. 3rd brake lite works.

Bad ground on the tail lights.  Happened on my dad's 79 GMC many years ago.

Hate to tell ya, T/S Switch is trashed.  Brake light goes to Signal Sw, then to lights, As has Signals the wiring and bulbs are still good, the Third Eye lamp is off the Brake switch directly so the T/S switch is Bad.

Dave is probably right... "NORMALLY" the  TURN and BRAKE lights are the same filament / wire.... its the SWITCH that picks which one to send down the wire to rear light. ( BRAKE wire and TURN wire both feed the switch... so could be the BRAKE wire TO switch).

If it was the tail light working, and no brakes or turn... then the circuit board / bulb. .... but on an old truck, you should INSPECT the sockets and board.

Was thinking probably the switch stalk, when I push the thingy for the hazards, they don’t work.

If you have TILT WHEEL, and use it a lot... you can flex the wires and have a few break or plug pull off the switch....... if not, look at the switch.

Thanks for the replies, gonna send it to a shop, gotta replace one of the front universal joints, and drivers side inside door latch isn’t working either, gotta roll down the window and open from outside. If used trucks weren’t so expensive, I probably would send this gooberment motors ‘down the road’.
