Decided to take the old L out for a stroll in the snow today... It was a snowplow crawler most of its life.

That is beautiful! I absolutely love the side hoods! I probably shouldn't said this, but I have a set of 8" Guide headlights for it. I am hoping to find an "M" someday, like the one I saw today,,, only running.

Unit3, what are you afraid of???? somebody asking you to sell them for putting on an old Allis L crawler???
Or worse, begging them off of you? LOL

I've wanted find a set for it... but I probably would have better luck at winning the lottery as to finding some origional prestine lights for it... the wiring is there for them.
Sure would make the old crawler look nice with them Guide lights on it...Wink
Thanks for the compliment on the picture.

That should be in Old Allis News, framed on the wall, or at the very least, a screensaver!

Boy that's beautiful.

Steve, it is SWEEEET...,  listening to the 844 Cubes running sounds real good too.

That's way cool. Just added a model L crawler to my wish list. I would guess that that 844 engine can in no way shape or form be related to the 844s that allis used later on; just coincidental that both are 844 CID. Darrel

Well Darrel, I am looking for a good LO, or an L without an engine... to put this engine into... This one was robbed of tracks and undercarriage and the one finals busted and the dead axel that mounted into the main housing busted the housing and was cobbled welded up. This engine needs work too but the components are there. Where as most of the LO's had their injection pumps taken off and carbs put on for gasolene.  It would be fun to have this engine back to running like the one in the vid below .

Great offer Ray, but freight to get it here would cost more than I can afford, much less the purchase price. How much do you want for it? Darrel
