Well its been 5 months of off and on repair since I first posted this

thread. Got lots of good advice from some knowlegeble people. It did turn out that the right brake was bad. One section of lining had come off and the drum was really scored. Got a drum from Zimmermans in Versailles, mo.and had the shoes relined at Truck Parts in Springfield Mo. The other side was
good. Cleaned all compartments of sludge and replaced most hoses. Got the fuel tank back on today and will try to start next weekend. Thanks for the help and will post results later. .

Truck Parts made the brake linings for my HD11. They were nice folks and did a good job
