Just changed the transmission and hydraulic fluid on my 6080 Allis. Noticed what looked like another fill plug on the right hand side in front of the axle housing, what is this for? Just want to make sure that i have the transmission and hydraulic systems filled properly.

Sounds like the classic 6060-6070-6080 mistake.....drain the oil from three drain plugs and only refill the rearend. Then when the tractor gets driven the transmission locks up causing many thousands of dollars of damage. The fill plug located straight down from the brake pedals is for the transmission and takes 2 or 3 gallons of oil....fill it up to the fill plug with the same kind of oil in the rearend. If you drained out 15 gallons total oil, it takes 15 gallons to refill everything. |

Thank you DrAllis, filled the transmission just wondering about what looks like another fill plug directly in front of the right hand axle housing. Its at about the same level as the transmission fill plug.
