We are assembling  steering clutches on an HD5B. The book calls for "Supremalube or an equivalent" to be used on assembly. I am unfamiliar with this  product. Can someone Please educate me?

i am assuming where the teeth make contact with the drum. it is very vague as to the specifics. The  HD6 manual wording is similiar.

Quoting Service  manual: "Lubricate hub teeth with Supremalube or its equivelant".

I spoke to several people regarding this assembly process and the consensus is  use Hi-Temp anti seize compound.

this must be on metal plate teeth to the inside drive hub .
I never did lubricate any of these as it seemed on most machines i flushed the clutch housing and plates with diesel by installing plug in case drain and adding 5 gallons of diesel then running machine and operating clutches to flush them and free them of any trash or oil.
